Trails in the ST. John's

[Kitchen Pass]

Been riding the trails on the Upper St John's since Wednesday. Trails getting a little scary. Met up with someone Wed. and again Sunday. Went riding Wed. to check out camps for this weeks hunt and met boat in the Florence trail coming in. Camped at Buzzard's Roost, came in Sunday and met in the trail going towards middle river. Trails so skinny, makes it hard to get around. If we don't get more rain, don't know where to camp for general gun. Need the el nino they're talking about.
We know who we met up with Sunday, not sure about Wed. Safari Rick, were you riding Wed.? Looked like your boat.

Also, has anyone gone through Mikey's trail lately? Wondering if any one has cleared it before we try.

The trail she is talking about is the one over the hill where we were parked talking to Randy the other Weekend! That comes out right in front of Buzzard Roost.

Just came back from there tonight. Did not get that far to the north but the survey trails are probably pretty tough. The trail running to Persimmon mound coming from Winder is getting dry but still is runnable. Bottom line we need water bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MIKE'S COMING IN THIS AFTERNOON TO REUP ON ICE. I'M SURE HE'LL LET ME KNOW HOW IT IS SINCE SUNDAY. IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE, SINCE I WON'T GET TO GO BACK TILL FRIDAY. ( SOME OF US HAVE TO WORK) NO RAIN IN THE TRAILS, MORE BOATS, DRYING UP.GOTTA GO MEET HIM WITH SUPPLIES RIGHT NOW. LET YA KNOW.

WELL MY HUSBAND SAYS THAT CANOOERS CREEK ( DORIAN) IS GETTING MIGHTY NARROW IN JUST TWO DAYS. A BUDDY HIT THE SLICK MUD AND THREW HIM IN THE MYRTLES GOING AROUND THE BEND. SAYS MIKEY'S IS ALRIGHT, SOME ONE WENT THRU AND CLEARED IT UP BUT, HAVE TO WATCH OUT FOR A COUPLE OF BIG LIMBS. GO SLOW.

BYE THE WAY. NOT MUCH GOOD SIGN OF GAME IN THE NORTH END. NEED TO GO SOUTH TO WINDER BUT, WAS THERE LAST WEEK AND EVERY TRAIL WAS DRY. DON'T WANT TO BEAT UP BOAT THAT MUCH.
MAYBE TRY OUT THE NEW AREA. SEEN A COUPLE BUCKS COME OUT OF THERE THIS YEAR SO FAR.

Not yet can't seem to get time to go out and hunt so all we have been doing is riding up that way went to sandy dike 2 weeks ago and it was dry most of the way back in there

THE GUYS ARE AT BUZZARD'S ROOST TILL SUNDAY. I GO BACK FRIDAY. KINDA DISSAPOINTED WHEN I SCOUTED THE WOODS LAST WEEKEND. ONLY THING THAT MOVED WAS AN ARMIDILLO. HE ALMOST GOT IT. SO EXCITED TO HEAR SOMETHING THEN BIG DISSAPOINTMENT WHEN IT'S ONLY ONE OF THEM. YOU FEEL LIKE BLASTIN 'EM. MAYBE RAIN TOMORROW. THESE GUYS HAVE BEEN TAKING THIS VACATION FOR AT LEAST 9 YEARS. ALWAYS AT THE SANDY DIKE. NOT THIS YEAR. MAYBE DURING GENERAL GUN IF WE GET THAT RAIN THEY KEEP TALKING ABOUT.
