I JUST BOUGHT A AIRBOAT .. IT IS A 11 FOOT FIBERGLASS BOAT --NO POLYMER.. WITH A 120 4CYL CONTINETAL- DUAL MAGS.. AND WOODEN PROP .. IT WONT RUN ON THE GRASS WITH NOBODY EVEN IN THE BOAT.. ANY ONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS TO MAKE THIS THING GO..THANKS

You can start by applying slick bottom to the bottom of the hull and goto a carbon fiber and or warp drive prop. If none of that stuff works, you might have to get a bigger motor......

It takes LOT of power to run green grass even with a small boat.
Frog spit or steel flex will help.
I ran a 13 foot Kennedy with a 125 Lycoming ground power for years. It ran the hiil better than a lot of more powerful boats, but it had poly on the bottom.
It had a 66 * 34 stick prop. turning about 2700 RPM's.
Rules: Stay out of the green dog fennels, black muck, dollar bonnets, and white beach sand. Believe me I have been on all of it, and it don't work.

Thanks for the suggestion...

my boat only turns up 2400 rpm max.. with the 68" x 8.5 " wood prop ..
shall i try a smaller or lighter prop to see if i can get the rpms higher..thanks

2Stroke - First, be sure your engine is up to snuff mechanicaly, then you might opt for an adjustable 68" prop. The adjustment allows any airboater to tune the whole package to optimim performance.
