I'm getting to a point where I am considering selling off some of my arsenal. Any suggestions on what process I should use. Don't think posting on marketplace is an option.

Best option would be to let your fellow airboat enthusiasts get first dibs! ;);)

Depending on the size of the lot you could look into an auction. There is also Armslist.com

gso480jr: It may be legal to post a list of what you are considering selling, but you certainly want to ensure compliance with not only the Federal laws, which has some applications to private sale (e.g. sale to out of state resident must go through FFL), but also any state laws (and even maybe some local laws, depending on where you are), if you do SELL any of them.

Here's two informative links that might help:

Just Dave the info you supplied pretty much ratified what I thought the law was concerning gun sales. I only intend on selling my guns to individuals here in Florida that qualify to possess a rifle or handgun. Anyone in the market for any of my weapons, just contact me through southern airboat. I guess through personal messaging? I also have a large supply of ammo. Just ask, I may have available the ammo you need. I have handguns, rifles, shotguns and muzzleloaders. I'm going to be 70 years old next month, I don't feel I'd be using them much anymore. I will keep one for my personal carry gun.

If you want to sell firearms to SA members then post them to SA classifieds, I would post under the Hunting & Fishing subsection. Just make contact via SA and sort out the legal offline.

Personally, I prefer using a dealer for firearm buy/sell so I am not liable for the history of any weapon I purchase, and I am not liable for the future of weapons I sell. But that is separate from making buyer/seller contact.

Hate to say it, but the SA classifieds don't permit gun sales anymore.

The lawsuits aimed the manufacturers, gun shops, and websites that permit online gun sales took all the fun out of having that option. Armslist.com has been fighting a major lawsuit for years. Not sure if that one is over or not yet. Now I hear Bud's Gun Shop is on the chopping block.

Thanks Rick, understand the situation.

Airboats are dangerous enough I guess, no one should combine them with firearms🤔

I have sold on Armslist. Fl law say you can't sell to some if you know they can't legally possess a firearm. So if you don't know Its legal? Posting on armlist is easy. I do take donations. Just sell locally.

Many gun ranges have bulletin boards, you can set up a table at a gun show or firearms swap meet.

I sell and trade ALL THE TIME

As long as your not making a business out of it there is no issue.

Having buyer provide FL ID and affirming no felony is excellent advice
