Use O520 mags on a dual mag GPU can I?

I am currently getting a dual mag GPU ready to do a 470 conversion on. Got the motor torn down and inspected everything. Crank bearings and rods seem to be well within tolerance and feel pretty good about everything else. But now I am thinking about the small stuff. Got a pair of 470/520 mags setting on the shelf in my shop. Will they work in the GPU block and Cam? Any help would be appreciated.

If I'm not mistaken the 470/520 mags are right hand rotation and the 220 mags are left hand rotation. So I dont think they will work.

I believe that they have the medium shaft, as Bob states above they are right hand rotation, now depending on the type of mag, flip over the point cam, retime the distributor gear to left (CCW) rotation, if they are shower of spark style, you will need a set of lh points.

Thank you John and Bob good information. Really thinking now about going electronic. Spoke to a friend that just went that way and said it was best thing he could have done.
