Video of my First boat! DD ford 289.

Thought I’d share a video since I finally got her running right. Engine is out of a 66 mustang that was redone by ford in the 80s. Turning a 70x40 stick prop at 2700 rpm. I imagine a 2 blade composite prop would make a world of difference. I also think I need to space out the rudders a bit. It’s a little hard to turn the way it’s setup now.

Awesome, perfect 1st airboat (I'm a little partial to Fords, great to see something a little different). Looks like it goes pretty good. That setup is about as cheap to operate as they come, pull up to any pump, fill her up, check the oil, and go have fun! Would be a great little frogging boat also.

That's awesome! Nice to see more BLUE out on the water! They hold up great despite the fabled location of the thrust bearing lol

Edub I embedded your video :salute:

how far apart are your rudders now and how close are they to your prop?

Rudders are 20 inches apart and about 5 inches off the face of the hub.
