any thoughts on running a 6 blade warp staggered, its on a o540 lyc. How can I adjust the pitch without a special tool,thanks for the help, lee would like a quieter prop with a bit More push,just no money right now

How big is the prop? Your better off getting or borrowing the tool to adjust the pitch.

If that Warp Drive is all you have put it on and go the the woods !! You will need a protractor to set the pitch correctly. It has been a long time since I set a Warp Drive up but I think you can start at about 9 degrees and go up or down from there. Some have made a special tool to adjust the blades, it is U shaped with about a 18 inch handle that fits over the blades. You do not need this tool but you will need a protractor.

you must have a protractor, you can call warp drive and they could fax you directions, or I could fax directions for you. I simply cut a 2x4 about 18" long, cut a narrow "v" in the end that could fit on the blade, then cut the other end into a handle, this worked pretty easy.

get a degree finder level the boat make a referance mark on side of cage set each blade at the same degree at the mark the more blades the more work that one reason i dont care for eaters you could go plum crazy gettin them perfect

Rather than level the boat, what you want to do is level the hub (straight up and down). Then you can set your blades to the desired pitch.

I used a regular angle finder becuase I didn't have the Warp Drive protractor. It works just as well. If you use one of those, you can actually set the pitch without leveling the hub; just find the angle of the hub, and add/subtract it from the reading at the blades. Just have to pay a little more attention to what you are doing that way.

And by the way, Warp Drive blades don't all have to be perfectly at the same angle. I have run mine as much as 2 degrees apart on a 5 blade and did not notice any vibration, so get them as close as you can and don't worry about it after that.
