Warpdrive

What do you guys think is the max efficient setting for a eighty inch eight blade Warpdrive? I have it at 12 D running 6000 rpm with a 350 and 268 box. I was thinking of going up in pitch but not sure how far I can go without losing thrust.

Thanks :)

Some of the racers on here have said about 14 degrees is max. I'd try it out, but it sounds like you might need another blade if you want to reduce your RPM and sound level

Sounds like you need more prop. What rotation are you. I could let you try my 3 blade 80" falcon.

He's got a gear drive which would be Right Hand

It would be pretty cheap to add a blade, all you'd need is a blade with blocks and new hub plates

Not being a Warp Drive owner, I was wondering what happens after you exceed 16 degrees of pitch. I had a 8 blade put on my boat a few years ago and it about broke my ear drums with the high pitch whine so I went a different way.

They don't give you any more thrust, probly flex like hell too

Yeah, I might be better off buying two more blades. A friend of mine can make a new hub, that may save me a little $. @ 2200rpm prop speed, the warp is not that loud but I'm sure it could be toned down a little, never tried any other props, always had warps on three different boats.
