Water injection

well it worked good with a little alcohol mixed in it on the planes and seems some people hawked it as a gas save rduring the oil embargo in the 80's On the plane swe used it to contolr the detonation during takeoff at full power if I am remebering right but that was a long time ago so I could be fuzzy on that one the old filing cabinet is gettin a little full these days LOL

i was told that in the big tractor pull races...high horsepower diesels were injecting water into the combustion chambers to increase cylinder pressures (boost levels ) while lowering cylinder temps...im not sure if this was something they were doing back in the 1970's or if its current practice.

i was looking for options on getting more power from my powerstroke.

I thought it was used back in the 40's as a fuel oxidizer for piston engines at ultra high altitides where the air starts getting thin.

Probably wrong about that though.

Cracker, looks like you did a GOogle search too. Keep scrolling down and you'll find This Link

I think I will try this

I don't like the looks of that system since it will inject more at high vacuum which is the opposite of what you want.

The one I had turned on at a given vacuum (high power) and the pump ran faster at higher PRM. It was made by Spearco and ther are some similiar ones on the market now.

You need a very reliable pump and good filters because the life of the engine depends on the system functioning properly.
