In a previous post you talked about you talked about electronic ignition for aircraft to do away with the mags.do you have any ready yet,and what kind of price are we looking at.

The system has been out for a while and does very well. If you want to see the setup and a brochure then see Chuck at Airboat Pros. He is a dealer for that. He put one on a aircraft motor late last week. They are pricey though.

Thanks Swampjet,but the one thunder was talking about was a distributor with I think he said MSD box,but I might be mistaken.I guess I should have been a little clearer.thanks.

he said they where working on one but didn't say anymore about it yet but the catch at least with that thread was you can only run one distributor

You can run two but why? The reason I said run one is so all the hard core A/C guy's would get a warm fuzzy feeling from still having a mag as a back up! It's hard enough to get an A/C guy to remove one mag and go to one distributor but to ask him to remove two is out of the question no matter what or how it performs., So we came up with the idea to run one distributor with a mag back up! Even though your mag has a much better chance of failing some people will insist on having a mag!

I can't speak for anyone else, but....
If it was a relitively simple system...
and if I could afford them....

I'd install two, and hopefully never look back c'ept for when I'm paying 15 bucks for a cap and rotor, or gapping those plugs @.035.
