weight or balance problem?

New to this site, need some advise-I have a 16/8 79' panther hull,ZZ4 2to1 belt reduction 78" wood prop boat has a lot of power, problem; when I get on a plane and boat levels out if I turn very short the front side edge catches somehow and throws the boat in a 360 nose 1st shallow and deep water-very dangerous .Any help would be great,Thanks

If there's no obvious damage to the hull I'd get rid of it. That sounds dangerous to me! Is it possible that your polymer (if you have it) has come loose and the water is getting under it in a turn?

once had an air gator hull did the same thing it had a hook in the bottom ran like ya had a trim tab down i put a jack plate in at the front off moter stand and ajusted it back flat then it ran perfect there bacicly the same hull style

You have a hook ( bend in hull ) in the rear under the motor probably under the fuel tank. I just finished fixing the same problem. Put a couple jacks in your boat and you will fix the problem.

That's how I set my boats up to run. I create a ball under the front operator seat to make them do that. If you don't want it that way see if it has a jack up front and pull it back flat. Could be a polymer detachment problem to. But most likely you'll find it up front in the shape.

Thanks for the help. The hull does have new 3/8 polymer and hull has many big dents on the sides,I'll check hull bottom if possible .What is the angle of the motor to the hull supposed to be?

level to down in the back just a smige is how i set up my boats .the down in the back helps lift the motor and run dry better

I run a 1/4 ti 1/2 bubble high in the rear.
A good place to start is level with the bottom.

A/Cman bring it by and we will look it over for you for free! We can show you a few tricks to getting it right.
Sounds like you need a sledge hammer and a port a power. :D

It a little drive but it would be worth it.
