went riding/fishing today

my brother,a friend of mine and me took my 2 mini's out today. The plan was to go fishing. we end up fishing for about 15 mins and riding for about 4 hours. The red mini used about 4 gallons of gas and the green mini used less the 3 gallons. my friend had never been on a airboat before, now he want one. here a pic from today have more but can't up load them I'm over my max for today on pics

with to guy on the red and yellow boat we got up to 25mph and the little green one stayed right with us. I didn't run the boat with just me so I'm not sure how fast it will go with just me. the warp drive worked good but I don't think I should have cut it down. before I cut it I could spin it a 7 degs. I didn't think that was enough but it works best now at 7 degs.so lesson learned run the boat in the water before you start chopping the prop up lol :shock: But I'm happy with it.

Good deal. Did ya notice the reds up in the creeks? I heard they were down around Ozella and Hom. I am hoping Gold has some luck with mine this week. The wife has been feeling pretty fair and I'd like to get her out a.s.a.p. she has so many bad days normally.Anyway keep us posted on how things are working out. Thanx, Cajun

Josh what motors do you have on those boats? rotax, briggs or something else. They look like sweet little boats and damn easy on gas. Almost sounds like freedom at it's best!

Josh, you might consider steering the red boat from the rear and get more speed out of it when you're alone. Just a thought .....

I had want to set it up like that but my steering cable is to long. but it a good thing I didn't because I sat in the back and let my friend drive and it would not get on plane in deep water. it would go from skin water to deep and stay on plane.

catfish the red and yellow boat has a arctic cat 440 makeing around 50hp with a 2:1 reduction. and a 52" warpdrive 4 blade prop set a 7 degs. the green mini has a 23hp brigg with a 36x 24 arrow prop. the green one needs a bigger prop on it. we had a 42"x24 and it did alot better.

we are going to be building a new hull for the green one in the next few weeks going to make it 10x5 1/2. I may sell the little green hull and rigging with out the engine soon not sure yet.
