I dig aircraft boats, but there ain't no denying that the boat above is flat BADD.

Got it wet yet?

Good looking boat...would love to see it hubbed up in some 5' high Louisiana bulltounge growing in black mud.

Grant

Cowboy,

Its like a fireflag...about 4" wide....oozes what looks like elmers glue when you break it....gets thick like sawgrass...tough running...cajuns say it bites hard on the side of the boat!!!

Grant

Wow. That's just exactly what an airboat is supposta look like.
Think I'll make this a screen saver.

"Sorry, honey. It followed me home and I just got the 'can't help it's." :)

If that boat get's stuck I don't think any other boat will run thru it. She has a gangster motor that is light and the hull is jam up. I know everybody has an opinion but I don't think I have seen a boat yet that will run like her. In my opinion the bar has just been raised.

They got some badass carboats in Louisiana and I haven't seen one yet that wouldn't get stuck....just depends on how much it weighs as to how hard it is gonna be to get it out.

There is more involved then horsepower and weight I'm just saying if she gets stuck I will bet somebody else aint going to come up and drive around her.

There is more involved then horsepower and weight

That is so true! ...wouldn't mind being around when she went down...just to see if I could get there....not saying I could...just saying we make a living out of getting where other people give up!

"Bull Tongue"
True Definition - airboats worst nightmare!

I have been there and done that Grant, there isn’t many that can run it. If anyone can run it with a load without the help of diesel, then I’ll bow to the master! But i haven't seen that yet.

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I can tell you understand....can't explain it to anyone that hasn't been there...horsepower doesn't mean that much...gotta have a good hull ..plenty of knowledge...a lot of luck and plenty of slickum!

Grant

We went ridding today at lake Kiss for a shake down run and I got to drive her. I can honestly say in the water it is the best running boat I have drove to date. It’s as free as you can get without being too loose. Hat's off to Glen and Southern enterprises for putting a boat together that is dead on the money right out of the box. What a fun boat to run. There is a ton of detail in this boat, you just can't see in the pic's. There are two things I loved that I'm incorporating in my next boat.

I hear ya Grant and Kevin, you better know your boat before messin with that black mud and bull tongue. Lord knows we got plenty of it here in marshes of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur to be exact. All I can say is that it brings a new meaning to the word STUCK.

Oh now guy's I answer stuff when ever I can. I will admit I have been avoiding some posts lately. I tell you I saw something I really liked on CGN's boat, the way the rudders were mounted. I'm sure everybody has done it this way before but it was the first time I saw this and it's done very well. See when you run them super wide props the rudders rattle at idle because the air pulses and beats the rudders. And when the lower rudder support is as wide as the boat it flexes. On CGN's boat they mounted them differently and eliminated the dreaded rudder rattle at idle. I just really like that boat and I'm putting mine up for sale next week. I'm ready to try some new ideas I have came up with in the last year. I never thought I would sell Modern Times but I have a few new ideas and I would really hate to change my boat just to test them.
