1ST OFF I WANT TO TELL YALL HOW MUCH THIS EVENT MENT TO JOHN C . I GOT THERE A LIL AFTER 5 AM AND JOHN C WAS ALREADY THERE TRYING TO TALK SOME SENCE INTO THE NEWS VAN SO THEY DIDNT GET THE PAINT BLOWED OFF IT WHEN ALL THE BOATS CRANKED UP. WE WERE PARKED RIGHT UP FRONT , I SAW JOHN FROM DARK -THIRTY TILL THIS EVENT WAS OVER RUNNIN HIS BUTT OFF BACK AND FORTH FROM ONE END OF THE LEVY TO THE OTHER , HELPING IN EVERY DIRECTION AND EVERYONE WHO NEEDED IT. ME AND THE WIFE TRIED TO LEND A HAND WITH PARKING THE SURVIORS AND FAMILY AND KEEPING THE ROAD FROM BOTTLE NECKING TO HELP OUT JOHN A LIL , BUT MAN I TELL YA WHAT HE WAS WORKING FOR THE AIRBOATERS AND TO MAKE THE DAY PERFECT FOR BUD !!!! JOHN C.. THANK YOU BROTHER , YOUR A GREAT GUY AND A TRUE AIRBOATER !!

AND THANKS TO THE AAOF FOR HAVING US , GOD DANG WHAT A FEAST AND GOOD TIMES WITH FRIENDS OLD AND NEW. MAN I WONT EVEN TRY TO NAME NAMES CAUSE I KNOW ILL MISS FOLKS BUT MAN TO EVERYBODY I MET AND ALL MY BUDDYS I GOT TO HANG WITH THANK ALL OF YALL FOR MAKING IT A GREAT WEEKEND FOR ME AND MY WIFE... THANKS TO ALL THE GUYS WHO COOKED AND THE FOLKS THAT SPOKE AT THE END , IT WAS GREAT !! AND FINALLY THE SOUTHERN AIRBOAT FORUM AND ALL ITS GREAT MEMBERS GOT TO COME TOGETHER AND CELEBRATE WITH MR. BUD AND BE CELEBRATED FOR EVERYONES HARDWORK , TIME AND CARE'IN ABOUT A FELLOW AIRBOATER.. ALL I CAN SAY IS IF YOU MISSED IT YOU SHOULD SLAP YOURSELF :P IT WAS A WEEKEND TO REMEMBER BROTHER !!!!

AND TO ALL YOU BOYS I RAN WITH IN AREA 2 THIS MORING, HAD A DANG GOOD TIME CUTTIN UP WITH YALL AND MAKING SOME NEW FRIENDS ...

I HOPE EVERONE MADE IT HOME SAFE AND HAD A GREAT TIME :lol:

I think the good lord was looking out for this day, weather was perfect and the event went without even one little snag.

I think what y'all did has not only given a sort of closure to the survivors that were there, but I think we just added 10 years to Buds life.

I was proud to be there and prouder to be a part of this event. I just watched, on Nationwide Network TV, NBC nightly news , the ride. Be proud y'all.

And......if you folks want to see what you have really done, go to the initial post of flight 401 crash, page 4 and look at the pictures that john c took of bud back in august. Then, fast forward to the ride on saturday and look at the difference in the man that means so much to you. You folks have recreated him, he is happy, smiling and joking. I really don't think you folks realize what you did for this man. I know it did a lot for you, but multiply that by 1000. that is what it did for bud. we gave him his life, pride and in some sense, his family back at his side. Damn folks, makes me wanna cry looking at the difference in how bud was then and the guy that was on the ride on his brand new boat saturday. If you folks are't proud of yourselves, you should be. Gave the old boy his life back and there is no price you can put on that.

BREWSTER THAT IS A GREAT PIC. I BET THE RIDE WAS GREAT FOR EVERYONE.I WISH MY WIFE DIDN'T MAKE PLANS TO GO UP NORTH TO SEE HER FOTHER .I WISH I COULD HAVE MADE IT .I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT TIME .GLAD TO HERE EVERYTHING WENT AS PLANNED .

Great picture D. I asked Bud how he liked the frog legs. He said "There good. Them boys cooking em really know what there doing." His grand daughter told me he was even eating the feet.
 
I got a chance to sit across from Bud at the dinner table, and trust me ..... the man loved the meal. Y'all did REAL good.
