What do you use your boat for?

I was born and raised down in Miami and in the late 60's early 70's I got quite a bit of exposure to airboats. I never owned one but hunted off of friends boats quite a bit.
I now live in North East , Fl. and the boats I see up here are more for open water.
My question is what do most of you guys do with your boats? Hunt off them, fish off them or just use them for riding?
I have been reading this board for about a year and you guys are to be commended on how you interact on this board.
 
We use ours to get where few other can access for photography and general sightseeing.

A little fishing.

Exploring is fun. Going a place that few humans have seen up close, and looking at what 99.9% of the world have not seen.

But most of all just the fun of riding. There is no medicine better than "boat wind" in your face.

And meeting people. There is something about an airboat - especially one that a user has built or modified themselves..... that just separates this group of people from the rest of civilization.
 (I really meaan that) :)
Airboaters are a cut ABOVE everyone else, and I enjoy meeting like-minded folks.
 
I use my boat to spend time with my son. To get him away from those how may try to get him to be walking the streets or joining gangs.
 
well hunting is one reason, I like spending time with my kids out away form the crowds and of course just riding, the group rides are also great whee you get with other airboats just seems to add to the fun................ not real big on the fishing just don't have the patients for that anymore
 
gold i dont have that patience either - but if your doin it rite you dont need patience !! :D
 
I ride up the river and shut the engine off and float down.. very quiet..not into fishing
or hunting just like to watch the fish jump and the birds...
and the shocked look people give me when they see an airboat.
there are no strangers when I am on my airboat...especially in Georgia
 
i mostly use mine as a yard ornimant.but when i do go to the water i like to ride and try to gig with family,fish with my brother,and when i am by my self i just find innerpeace.
 
Bowfishing! and just riding around, kinda like emmitt said, you get the looks with an airboat, especially in the mountains of Ga.
 
Camping, hunting, fishing and riding. Mostly with family and close friends. Beats the movies, or television for recreational purposes. Best medicine there is, nothing else can brings the family closer together than camping or an airboat ride.
 
We mostly use ours to ride. We do occassionally fish and gig frogs. This year will be the first year it will be used for gator hunting. But overall we just enjoy getting away from the city life.

I use my airboat for general riding fun as well as hunting. The past two years I have used my boat for duck hunting and wondered how I ever got along without it as compared to my jon boat set up...
 
I bought my first boat with the intent to hunt for Morel Mushrooms in areas along the river that is not accessible to most people even with a mud boat. Now that we are on our fifth boat we use it mainly for fishing and riding. We have rescued quite a few people with the boats as well. In April and May I still get those mushrooms. My wife said since we seldom use it, we should sell our 16 foot flat bottom. Not yet.
