What Happend to the Diamondback Thread?

Per baskescase0302's request it has moved on to "Thread Heaven" - Where else?

I should have deleted it when I had to edit the title. My mistake. I apologize to Diamondback Airboats & basketcase0302 for that.

I'll be adding a "Rules" section, for the people that need it, to the "Terms of Use" post that's shown in the Site Related area. Post's of this nature will be addressed there.

Until then & after, I'll be deleting similiar posts as soon as I see them without regard to who, what, when, & where.

You want to ruin a forum? Just let a handful of people turn it into their own personal public bashing zone. IMO

I agree it got very much out of hand I guess you are going to have to change your shirt and put a black and white striped one on so you can be a refaree.
 
Like everyone else I have been sitting back just reading the former thread. We may not agree with all that is said, but to start editing people's comments and deleting threads is a little extreme. I think it could of been a whole lot uglier then it was. If we can't get on here and air out problems or concerns with fear of being edited by the man..... Just a joke Rick. I think we all are big boys here and as long as it doesn't get volger then I say "let it ride."
 
It got outta hand Rick you did the right thing. DIAMOND BACK .. ALTHOUGH ONLY BY PROXY .. DID THE RIGHT THING. I never saw them respond directly and you can bet I would have if it had been my company that was the subject of that post.

you work hard and long to keep this site up and running so it can and should be "your way or thread heaven"

But you gotta admit there sure were a lot of replies in a short time and they went both ways some for and some against .. Ahhh the beauty of a free society at its best. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Rick, I apologize if anything I said upset you or any of the members. I respect your decision for termination. Without you and your oversight this site would be poor or gone,THANK YOU. Whatever basketcase decides I hope he is happy. I was looking forward to seeing the boat at a monthly run in the future. I still feel it is a beautiful boat. Thank You for your time.
 
This is Tim Bryson from Ne. You all seen the video of my boat yesterday during the chat. I used to own a DB I had it built with 502-502 fuel injuected, walk arounds, live wells. The boat had a hard time getting around on dry ground. To set the record straight, when having a airboat built always consider the weight to power ratio. Yes, the new boat I have know will run a hill with 14 people in it. But that is what I had it built for.
 
I am disappointed I should say. This poor man has worked so hard to get this boat that he has wanted all of this life. He got it and it takes him to the river and marsh just like everyone else's and he has fun and meets new people just like everyone else. Now he has his boat for sale but I told his wife not to let people get to him. His boat does just what he wants it to do. Makes me sad that we all made him feel like this.

Sorry if this offends anyone but it has to be said.

if DB is trying to help the customer, then thats all that maters....
and let us all see or here about that good customer service!!!!

I have always wondered why there are so many boats on airboattradder.com that are Diamondbacks for sale? Boats are only a couple years old or newer any ideas out there.

It just seems like there are a lot of DB on the website for sale. Its just not good advertising for DiamondBack seeing that many boats on the site for sale.

The nice thing as airboaters we all have in common and dont matter what boat we drive is we all have a passion for airboatting.
 
Tim - My guess would be that there's just a lot more Diamondbacks out there. There were 8 Diamondbacks, that I know of, out of 32 airboats in our Melbourne Run last month and I'm not sure I've accounted for all of them.

I know an awful lot of people that own and are happy with Diamondback Airboats and they will build you what you want. That's one of the things I like most about them.

Also, I don't want anyone to think that I'm gonna start deleting threads left & right because of this. Wouldn't be much of a forum if you couldn't discuss things you like or dislike about the various types of airboats. I just think it should be respectfully & with controlled tempers.

Deleting or editing posts is a stressful thing for me to do, but I'm learning that it's gonna have to be done occasionally. All I can say is that I'll try real hard to keep it fair.
 
My point Tim. Doesn't matter what boat you have as long as you are able to get out and ride. That is what I think anyway.
 
You did the right thing Rick I saw some airboat manufactures chiming in starting to take pot shots. So Me, Country, Crock, BasketCase, Cchardt, Felber along with a few others will develop an encrypted code so we can encrypt all the airboat manufactures names so nobody knows what boat manufacture were talking about. You know like I love the boats made by *&*\^&=%$ AND &^&^#@ AND +_#! BUT HATE THE ONES MADE BY %*@@ and $&(%#. So if they don’t have their Roy Rogers Ovaltine decoder they can’t get the special message. Common Country I know your on the floor laughing your %## off.
 
WEll I agree on the encrypted part and that is funny. The way that post went was not funny and like they say the road to h$ll is paved with good intentions. The other manufacturers taking shots was not predicted and was uncalled for. I stated that they wanted to fix the boat and that they had replaced the motor once. I didnt know they had done it twice. They really only messed up on the call back part near as I could tell. I have the messages from basket that I based my post on printed out. It seems the parties to that deal just cant get together.

So I am going to apologize to all involved and I guarantee that no post from me will ever have anything in it that doesn't start with a smiley face. Rick you can hold me to that if I ever get negative on anything again feel free to delete it and barr me from the site permanently.

Thats my story and I am sticking to it, I have the written proof to back me up but in the future there is nothing short of hurting a kid that will get me excited enough to make a negative post on any subject and that includes TRUDY. now I am laughing
