What is it worth

Hello I am new to this forum and don't have much experience with airboats nor have I ever owned one, but I am interested in buying one for duck hunting. I am looking at a 13' panther with a Lycoming 0320/160hp with a poly bottom. The cage appears to be in good condition with slight rust on the skeleton and the same applies to the motor stand and the seat platform. The hull does not have any cracks or damage that I can see. The boat starts easy and runs good on the trailer, but due to weather I have not had an opportunity run the boat. Assuming that it performes well on the test ride what price range would this boat fall into? I know that this is a vague question and there are specifics that are unknown but any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Jason, you dont see too many people running aircraft engines anymore in Texas. If you are planning on running the coast you would want a 18ft Boat. If you are running tyhe Brazos you would want a 16ft Boat. I will do my best to help you find a high quality Used Airboat to fit your budget if you want to give me a call. 409-920-0716. I have a couple used ones right now but I am expecting more within the next couple weeks. The Airboattrader has great info but most of the boats are Florida boats and would not be the same at what you would see in Texas. The designs are very different.

If you want to run the Aircraft motor you have to ask yourself do you know how to do repairs or maintenance? Do you know where to get parts? Ect...
A chevy is by far the most popular engine choice.
Let me know if I can help. We are only 100 miles east of you!
