What kind of muffler is this ?

What kind of muffler is this ? It is a new one that came with my airboat but I'm going with 2 single mufflers .Trying to see how much it is worth it is 29 inches long , 20 inches dia. There is no name on it anywhere and I can not find it online

You must mean 20 inches in circumference - not diameter. If that is 29 inches long there's no way it can be 20 inches wide unless the photo is distorted somehow.

I think Camaros have something similar to that muffler, and was told that MagnaFlow makes a 2 in / 2 out muffler. Nice because it has the effect of a crossover and a muffler at the same time.

I'm wanting to get something like that for our boat. How much to mail it from Alaska to Florida? LOL just kidding - sort of.

It most probably is a Magnaflow. If you go to Summitracing site you can click on mufflers then type in magnaflow and then use the dimensions to cross referense. I would like to see someone use one of these and report back on it's performance and sound. Just might be the secret weapon.

Swamp, I think I know what you're thinkin' ....... that it might be crossover and muffler all in one box.

Yep it is. by spending hours checking summit site and cross referencing and clicking on details there are muffs out there with a perferated x-pipe all in one muffler. Just think of it, one muffler mounted in the bottom of the boat using flex pipe in and out. Takes the stress off of your transom and easier to mount with all the benefits of x-pipe. Moves the muff away from header and transom. One muff weighs less than 2 also.

They sound Great , I have one on the boat now , This was an extra one. The guy I bought the boat off of said they only last 1-2 years. But than again he was on the saltwater here on the coast. They are mounted under the oil pan. I would post some photos but it is in storage until spring. I'm going to sell it on ebay ,But wanted to know what is worth


This muffler weighs about 13 lbs
