I would like to build a 4.3 dd for fishing with a 50 shot for that little extra push when needed, hull type ? whos still building in florida ?
any info would be appreciated.

Gilileo
Predator
Ricochet
Woods & Water
Jimmy White
Marty Bray

use the search function top right hand of screen to find contact info for each! :salute:

While I admit to being a little prejudiced, I am likely not the only one
thinking that list would be best researched/considered in reverse order.

Not meaning to poke at any given manufacturer atop that list,
but rather share my own preference for the couple at the bottom.

While I don't know that they are still being made, another worthy of
consideration (imho) would be a Big-O, if that does in fact, remain an option.

What Deano said!

Two hulls to chose from now also with Marty Bray putting the wide and standard boats out.

What company has the new Freedom Craft mold ?

There are also the Bailey Hulls which are a sort of hybrid of a Lazer and Kennedy. Ron builds a fairly versatile boat that most of the guys up my way run.

Of all the boats Bray really makes a nice product for the money.

Guy there in Cross City was building the Freedom Craft. If I remember he had changed the name. Here's the # 352-210-2378

4.3 DD info from SA threads - good stuff :salute: (grab a large caffeinated beverage) :toothy7:

I would certainly take a look a Woods and Waters (Paul Jackson ) Havik Hull. He build a great light boat. I have also seen that Outlaw is doing vacuum infusion.

Can never go wrong with a Marty Bray or Jimmy White.

I’ve only met one person that likes the Outlaw hull that has one the other 4-5 people swear they won’t ever buy another one. Hell got a guy in my AO has one brand spanking new won’t run worth a crap. Looks nice but the dang thing is flimsy as all get out. Nothing against Outlaw I don’t personally have any dealings with them just the guys I’ve talked to have had one issue after another

Can not say about the quality or ride but there are a lot of big name boat and yacht manufactures using vacuum infusion.

That's a tough question for that in DD! Maybe someone else that runs it in DD can add to this?
I run a very well built one with a 268 on a jw hull but it compares to a weak stroker.
Best is ask who is running that in dd, but I sure would avoid a thick hull if that's your motor choice and being DD for the duration!
It's a water boat for sure and might compare with a 35 mud devil on a good day!

Danny Emmons of Navigator Airboats is in Fellsmere. Wicked Hull's!! Saw Grass Welding is the name of his shop!
