well here is my issue, i have a 13ft cottonmouth with a 220 on it. my prop is a wood prop and is a 72/40. i can run dry but eventualy will come to a hault as long as i have momentum. if i stop im done for. what kind of prop do you think i should go with.

try to borrow a 72 x 30 or a 72 x 32 much wider than your prop, check it out and you'll see the big difference.

you may also try a wide 70 x 32 cutting off some noise!

well as soon as my income tax comes in im willing to buy whatever i need to push the boat a little better. what would you suggest.

well, you could get a composite if you can, much better. just get a much wider prop compared to your exisitng wood prop.

if you opt for wood, the wide 70 x 32 would be a good prop. better try a wood prop first before buying... if possible.

well ive heard that warp drives go hand in hand with 220s but i dont know if thats enough. i usually have a full tank of gas 3 people and a cooler full of beer. i have a heavy boat needles to say.

well, based on your wood prop, the 8 blade will be your best bet on the ground. better look for a friend with a 72" 8 blade WD... try it first, it will make a lot of difference!
