looking to build a new hull but not sure on size now i have a 13;6 cottonmouth with a 260 but thinking of going with a 12 what are the does and donts thanks

All I can say is that a foot changes everything. If your changing hulls because you didn't like the way the boat ran chances are it was the bottom not the length, but it depends on what you want to do what kind of new hull you plan to get? and how your stuff is set up now.

more info bud.

There is always a market for new hulls, especially a well designed one. 12-13' is the perfect slot size. Are you going to build Fiberglass or aluminum hulls? It looks like you are building glass hulls now. A 12' of either persuasion will be met with enthusiasm, especially if the price is right.

Hull builders are in short supply these days.

don't keep us in suspense man, more info hahahahahah !

Scotty

I have the same hull and want to go to a 12 footer as well. I would like to know how it turns out if you go to a shorter hull.

We just built a 12' for a guy that had a 13'6" and he seems to like it. What year is the one you have now? Why were you thinking of going shorter?

2003 trying to go lighter it runns good with me wife and two kids just looking for less weight more speed on the hill

Hogmantj, if you do decide to try a 12' let me know. I've got a 12' on the trader I'll make you a good deal on need to get it sold!
