I just bought my first airboat. It has a 760 JLO on it went to start it and the points and everythin behind the flywheel came apart! I just bought a VW motor not sure on the size yet got it for $20. Which motor would be best to put money in to? The boat is a tomcat. 10' long and 5' wide. Thanks Boz

I am running a VW 1600cc on my 10' x 6' Gilio. I have put the big bore cly, duel port heads, and duel Impe carbs on it and it runs good. I can turn a 52" x 25 wide blade at 3500 rpm's. The hull I have as been busted many time and is very heavy, but on the right ground it will run dry with me { 220lbs } and my son { 55lbs } . Should push your little boat good.
