Got the new pump on Wednesday,Fixed a bad wheel bearing on the trailer friday night,Got a call from Roho said he had fired the motor up on his refreshed hull ,old motor and was goin to try to make it sat morning,cntry called he had gotten the 3 blade r prop on the boat set on the number three behind a 2.68 turnin 5000 on the trailer he was ready for saturday.
Got to Lake cypress unloaded the boat,parked the camper ,no lectric cord Cheryl left it at the house,one of those funky twist on figured we would just do with out lektricity.Cntry had two dead bateries on the dodge makin him late.Him and Roho showed up at the ramp about 10:30 Roho went to fire his boat up it back fired breaking the aircleaner stud.Went to autozone in st cloud and bought 2 of them.
one for a spare.
We all left the ramp and headed on over to the oaks,The cntry fried steak for breakfast was startin to play out.
Never seen so many boats in one wad people were startin to leave so I circled on Idle a couple times waitin for a spot to open up.Inoticed that Roho had took off behind the chiken boat and while I was wonderin were the h ll he was goin cntry went to pointin and hollerin.I eased on over to him and lo and behold he had managed to gig his self in the left arm and but good.He was callin for help he was giged were he coudn't see it so self help was out of the question.Me I was wantin to call 911.See I have cut on just about every thing a man would want to eat and a human ain't one of them.Lucky for cntry I had recently purchased one of them lockback razor knife kits with all the assorted cutin attachments.With cntrys counselin I was fixin to attemt my first surgery. Cheryl broke out the alcohol,neosporin,bandages and plenty of gauze,Cntry told me to go for the barb,Me I was tryin not to pass out.The way I figured it ,out of 150 airboats probly 500 people there had to be at least 1 doctor 3 rn and mybe 20 pramedics around.I keep thinkin that Roho was lost and I was worried that he woulnd't be able to find us .Cntry told me don't worry bout roho get to cutin this thing hurts he also said he knows how a frog feels.I must say it ain't like cuttin a hog but cntry said later that I had done one hellof a job.
Left the festivites rounded the conner there was to fat to fly with a broken gas pedal>I remembered earlyer at lake cypree lookin at a couple of gas pedals on the shelf .with a quik trip there and back he was back enjoying the day.At about 3:30 we arrived at poluted waters were we found the good ole boys doing whate they do best.cntry unload his cooler and joined the fun.Now rho's old motor burns shait 93 most of the time ,some times he'll through a few more degrees of timimg to it and add a little of the sweet stuff maybe 50/50.today he was on 93. he was most interest in how the improvements he made to the hull would effect the runin of the boat.He went and made a few passes came back said the boat was runin a little squirrly.Now I could be wrong I believe it was air jack that came over and requested to see whate Roho had in him .For those that dont' no him he loves it more than anbody I now even Bondsman.WEll he got dusted,he was steady talkin about how the other boat ran wondering and believein it had more then one stage of nitrous and about the induction with the fan.Roho did state that the only performance enhancement that he was runin was a electric fuel pump to supplement his mechanical.
we left poluted waters and head over to overstreet.Whilst I was releavin at overstreet I noticed a wet spot on the gas tank and water sprayin out the radiator..Yep I had a leak and here I was thinkin that I was goin to be Immune .Roho's needle nosed pliers stopped the leak and we were off to supper at lake cypress arriving ther well after dark.
