What's happening to our water level

They just revised the hurricane forecast so I believe they are going to pull it down in case we get a hurricane or two or three like last year. It is too late if they wait till one hits to lower the water.

NOAA's website has revised their prediction for the month of August. Now saying 4 to 5 major hurricanes in this month.
Leave it to a government agency to screw things up! Seen um' keep the gates closed on the weirs down here to flood thousands of us only to come out of their shell like a turtle after the storms to open them!

I talked with a guy here a few days ago and he said that they had finally closed the locks. I believe it was either Friday or Monday. He may have been wrong or they may have changed their mind.
Moodfood...you'd be surprised how quickly that place can fill back up. I've been there when it seems like it is bone dry one day and totally flooded the next. A couple decent rainfalls and it'll be "normal" again.
