Whats the correct way to install...

Whats the correct way to install a new bilge pump bracket on a new aluminum hull? Is the best way to use small stainless screws with 5200 sealant on them? Also where is the best place for the thru hull fitting for the hose, transom or rear side corner?

i use the L shaped bracket that slips over the bilge and then fastened it with one of the engine stand/stringer bolts. saved me some work. as far as the bilge hose, i go out the rear corner where i can see if its pumping or not....

Just make sure the bilge pump hose is up hi. The water will siphon down the hose and thru the pump if it is near the water line and could sink your boat.

Do you have an open deck boat or a deck over? Keep the fitting up high above water level because it will be a hole in the boat.

Take the removable base & 5200 it right to the deck.
