When spray cleared it was DD Cadillac - again

Ya'll missed a Doozey.

CCAA put on an airboat party like none I have ever attended. Even mowed the gathering spot, they did. Terrific hosts and very friendly folks.

Deep in an incredible marsh, there were 40 or more boats. Vortex was there - twin turbos and all. So were dozens of FAMILIES. Horseshoes, hot dogs and hamburgers.

The 2005 CCAA Rodeo is history. Big Man on The Mountain - ONCE AGAIN - Greg Abbot, Pres. of West Coast Airboat Club, 14 foot RiverMaster and a direct drive Cadillac.

We need to put this one on the SAO run calendar for next year - for sure. All airboats can get to their picnic spot. This is one terrific - centrallized -run opportunity.

Awesome BigDaddy,
Wish I could have been there. Did you take any pictures? If so I would love to see them posted.
Thanks,

I thought I forgot my camera but I looked in my box later that day and found it. I'll have some picture of the drag racing that was done at the Pines. Vortex is a fast airboat but the Joker pulled it out. Check out the high dollar airboats with the blowers. I even spotted Moodfood there...it was at the boat ramp at the end of the day.

That's great news ..... sounds like they all worked hard for it, and the weatherman co-operated too! We'll be happy to tow down for that one next year.

We were there off and on for several hours and missed Moodfood :( :(

We saw A1Mudpuppy, Gatorstick, YellaFella, BigBoom and a couple more I'm still a bit confused on. Never heard the HORN either

What a day, what a place.

Hello Mood,
I would have to have meet you. I was there about the time you got there. I went riding with Phil Walters and his two dogs. Maybe at the next event.

Matt, if you find that property, get up with Ann and I if it's more than you
want to try by yourself .... we're interested in something over in that part of FL too and we might be able to work out something with you.

Ken

Sorry for the late posting.
Yes it was a BEAUTIFUL day , lots of GREAT people (about 120+), a HERD of boats, good grocerys, and some serious BAD-ASSED driving :D . It is good to see so many SAO members coming over here. As far as a run over here, We at CCAA would enjoy sponsoring it. Best time would be in early spring. There are a lot of us hunting out here in the marsh and it is just not right to disturb fellow airboaters at such a critical time. Thanks for your support.
