I am trying to find any and all maps of Lake Kissemmee and surrounding lakes in the area. If you have any info, please let me know.

Thanks,
Richard

Richard,

Here's two links that might help.

The first link is to a map that you can purchase online and shows the area including a few airboat trails and gps locations.
1.hughcrumpler.com/kissmap.htm# (sorry, this link is out of date now)

The second is to an aerial photograph of the area. You'll need to print on 11x17 for best results.
2.Click Here for the aerial photograph

Hope this helps.

Rick

Richard,

One solution I found was to forget about the maps and buy a chart / GPS. Solved a big problem for me.

Lake Hatch and Kiss and Panasoff and Istapog and Hernando and Okee all look one way in sunlight and something entirely different after dark, in the rain and late night fog.

I looked around and found a Lowrance M68 color unit. At $400.00 retail, this unit has all maps internal and requires no external GPS antenna. I purchased the accessory power plug and two mounting brackets. One for my truck and one for the airboat. Best feature for me at the "get home" track / trail feature.

It is no Rand / McNally Road map, but, it has surprising detail on our lakes and marshes. Has kept me out of trouble all over Florida. I also installed a marine compass and I keep an eye on that all the time, too.

get lots of gas and spend lots of time out there. Lake Kissimmee is beautiful, and everytime you get lost, you find something else.

Richard, Looking for new places to run. Saw your pics of "the tower". Where is it and how do ya get there. I live in Tavares, Lake Co. Run mostly on Lake George from Juniper to Salt Springs, been down to Cypress a couple of times. Let me know, weather is gettin good. Thanks JIM

Richard,

The super walmart in Lake Wales has thousands of the maps with GPS coordinates! They are a life saver!

Big Boom,

Good link! thanks!

Jeff
