Where to ride in Feb

I drove by Holiday Park and there is alot less "native wildlife" hanging around. There was a few RV spots available and the tent site was almost empty.

Are Y'all still planning for the first weekend in Feb?
How many people/boats plan on showing up?
How many plan on staying overnight?

I may be able to take part in a ride early in Feb, but later in the month and in March I will be busy with a new house and baby.

a1mudpuppy, What do you think about a 6 month or year schedule with the rides already decided.Maybe a different club would host each month? Just an idea.Might help some people to plan ahead better.

What ever would make things better for everyone else. But there are thinks that pop up during the year. Would have to get local airboat clubs to see what their next 6 month looks like.

March- Lake O
April- Lake Kiss
May -Lake Hernando
June- Loughman
July -Lake George

Maybe something like that.

Not everyone can go on every ride. This club/group/gang is getting big!!!! That's cool.

the dates of the shows are:
Feb. 24th&25th-Palm Beach show
March 3rd-GTO Swap Meet
March 24th&25th- Broward Show

I think the Speck Festival is March 10th.

These and local club dates make for busy times.

P.S. The CCAA Airboat Rodeo will be April 21st somewhere in the Hernando marsh depending if we get rain.

I did some checking around for hotels in the area. I seems that the first weekend in Feb. there are gonna be some DAMN YANKEES down here playing a football game. There is VERY little availability and the rooms that are available are at a PREMIUM. I only found one place that had rooms left and you had to take them for a 4 night minimum and get this...IT IS $500 A NIGHT!

If you would like to make it the next weekend I found the best rates at $129 + tax
