Start the ideas rolling. I don;t care where I ride. Lake George sounds good or Lake Hernando or down South way maybe the Big O.

I know there's several of us that live and ride in the cabbage area so that would be cool for me but one of the reasons I got the boat and joined this group was to ride in other area's of Fl. Heck I'll ride almost anywhere!!!

We just finished our drive up from Homestead. We saw a lot of airboats heading south on 441 south of 60. We figured it was the Shady Oaks riders heading home. Sorry we missed that one! It was a beautiful day for sure.

We did notice how beautiful it was around the Lakeport area of Lake O.

Both Laura and I hope there is a group ride in & around Lake O sometime this summer. How is it affected by the drought? The canals along Hwy 78 looked pretty full. What part of the lake is the good riding anyway? We may head out there on our own anyway - it just looked so nice.

The Kissimmee river looked a little low, but not too bad.

Maybe not for June - but for sometime soon.

There is good riding out of Lakeport. It is getting shallow but they are
getting rain over there. Most of that side of the lake 2-3' in depth.
I headed south out past where the Monkeybox used to be and out into
Moonshine Bay. Only thing out there were airboats. To shallow out that way for anything else. It was perfect over there Saturday until about 5:00pm it started to pour.

There are a couple of places there to stay.
Uncle Joe's and Lakeport Lodge are not to bad.
They sell AVGAS on the reservation.
You can ride out of Harney Pond or Dyess Ditch. The ramp at Fisheating Creek is closed due to low water. I like the east ramp at the Harney Pond
Canal access the best.

i agree with safari rick and jdotson. it is getting pretty hot and a cool spring would be a good place especially if it happens to be in a new area. if not a cool place still would be nice

Do you reckon it would be alright for some lake county airboaters to hook up with the group the 24th?

Stan,I personally do not see a problem with that. The more the merrier.I think there may be SA people there also.I mentioned it to Swampjet at Kiss last weekend. He also did not have a problem with more people.

June thru Sept. are my busiest time of year so for me the sooner we make a decision the better for me( more time to find a baby sitter) Some one step up and make some decisions ( or am I just missing that post) At this point its looking like I won't be able to make the June ride.
