i am planning to build my first airboat. i really need advices and informations from you all.
1. is there any airboat plans that i can purchase from. Glen-L plans is a bit small for me, i need something that is 18ft to 20ft (actually need to accomodate up to six persons)
2. Can i install truck diesel engine like isuzu, mitshubishi, nissan or toyota as these engines are easily available in my country.
3. what type of reduction gearbox i should buy?
4. what type of hull should i build. i am going to drive this airboat in shallow river. i notice that most of the airboat is 8 ft wide, why? can i build 10ft wide?
for a 20ft long airboat, maybe 10 ft wide is better for planning! should i build the hull with small keel for better turning , or a bit tunnel to achieve better maneuverability. because i notice many airboat hull are flat bottom hull.
