why not just call whirlwind or take a pic of the damage and send it to them. Just set something common in the picture that they can use to judge the size of the ding and they will let you know. I have done this with them and they never steered me wrong. You can find them by clicking the airboat directory at the top of this page and going to prop manuf. they are there.

yes i sent a pair of clipers in to mine and they fixed mine just go to your dealer he send them in took litle over two weeks they put new nickel edges and repaired one in gash in blade think it cost 150 or something

Thanks for the info I contacted Whirlwind to see what they say, We do not have a dealer in Alaska. And I might be able to buy a new one cheaper then paying for shipping there and back. How will a little chip affect performance ? I have not had the boat out since last and this spring is still a month away .

It depends on where the chip is and how you define little. I suggest emailing a pic to whirlwind and they will let you know for sure. I got that ups chipped and I didnt bother sending it back I did send a pic to whirlwind and They said they would replace it if zi wanted but that it would not hurt performance. I have run it and it doesn't hurt it at all so it all depends, just ask them.
