camping was a wonderful experience this weekend, and I'd do a REPEAT weekend of camping and not change a single thing!!!
It was NOT cold.... There was frost on the ground saturday morning for quite a while after the sunrise - but it did not bother us. I guess we were dressed for it.
A second front came thru Sunday morning and we had some rain. But it did not bother us because we were prepared for it. We went back to sleep after the 30 mph wind blew all the rain away. It was nearly dry by sunrise.
2 BEAUTIFUL sunrises
2 beautiful sunsets
2 AMAZING starry night skies
2 great friends. (Jeff & Dawn)
3 forces of nature for us to beat. (wind, rain, temp)
3 cows moved out of the airboat trail by blasting the train horn at them.
1 flick of a bic for a fire that burned nearly 3 days.
1 superwoman to help me set up the tent and keep me all tucked & warm all night.
We camped a little south of the picnic area at Alligator Cove. All you
homebody wuss-types who changed your minds about going camping really missed out on some great times. Seasonal campers.
Seriously - you have to check it out sometime.... With the current water level that is a great place to pitch a camp.
Skeeter, Geneva0550, Dakota, C Chardt, Robby Bonderaunt and all the others who stopped by and visited our campsite - Let's get togehter there sometime again soon. Bring your tent and share that wealth and beauty out there.
What a fun weekend!!!!!!
