I am the "friend"..I ain't ashamed to admit it

These things happen every now and then....I guess I'm bound and determined to see how much this boat can handle before she gives up the ghost!!
HoweverI now understand why I liked fiberglass so much...I could fix it pretty simple.
But come on Red..."side-wiped" is a little harsh...I just nudged it at an inappropriate speed that's all. I think the moon was in the wrong place and the humidity was too low and the solar plumes from the sun all worked against me and made the aluminum a little weak in that spot at that moment. Not to mention I wasn't holding my mouth right.....Too be honest I really wasn't going that fast, just above an idle.
It's really not that bad, more cosmetic than anything else. The edge of the deck is wrinkled up even with the side of the hull for about 12 inches between the front hoop and the side access panel. There is also a small (<1 inch ) tear in the aluminum sheet right where the wrinkle starts. The hull itself isn't damaged any worse than a little bit of hammering won't fix.
I couldn't even tell a difference in the handling or performance so I ain't too upset about it.
I will say that Red is a very gracious host and he is real cool to ride with...His boat ain't too shabby either!!! He decided we ought to ride through some nasty, thick, mud and that dd383 slowed down but didn't stop!!!! He don't have any problems on the hill either. Now...if we can just talk him into putting some slick bottom on that hull to protect it at least a little.......
Thanks for the help guy's!!
