6.0 gm castiron block/aluminum head or LS1? I can get either and was wondering wich is the better platt form

man you can't build but so many at one time

where is the pictures of that little boat with the stroked pe-90 conversion :dontknow:

Gold,I cant even figure out how to put a galley together let alone pics on a thread  The case is don now I waiting to get enough time off work to run my cyls and crank down to danny to get them miced :D It`s coming along, slowly. I`m building another buick 455 as well.Gotta check with felber about a little head work one of these days. But I was offered one or the other of these motors for free so I HAVE to get one and play with it  Thinking a 13 foot aluminum boat gearbox and a three blade should be fun. And I`ve seen the pics of your garage, you got a few yourself 8)

abut now I am trying to work on just mine  so I still have allot of catching up to do with all those projects you have

How did that hull turn out?

your gallery is easy click the top left of the page where is say "pictures & wallpaper" then to the top right in blue "upload Photos" then click "browse" and locate the photo on your computer then click "submit"

Aint done much with the hull other than me and my son took the old riggin off and gave it to a scrap man.Gunna take the solid rake off and give it to a buddy of mine for his boat.As the motor gets closer I`ll get it blasted and straighten out the bottom, may even deck it over and put a tube rake on it.Gunna run a single seat, and a removeable single for when my son rides, set low and a pancake cage :D should run pretty good

Oh come on that was good rigging

I leave the solid rake on there personally but ya with that motor it should fly :!: that will be a fun boat when you get her together

Just say no to the 6.0 iron block. An iron LS series (LQ-4 and LQ9) are heavier than a SBC. They make great power and are very strong but the weight kills most of the LS's advantage.

The LS2 is the aluminum version of the 6.0 and is the hot ticket. But if you have a small bore (3.898) LS1 it will perform better on an airboat than the iron 4" bore. Both great engines, just one's a hands-down winner on an airboat.

Thank you sir!!! 8) Any one know what the LS2 came stock in? My buddy works at a salvage yard and has the 2 pre mentioned motors avalable but If I can get a hot ticket I will pass on these two
