WOULD THIS BE ALRIGHT TO RUN

Sounds a bit tight to me. Props don't stretch much but they do flex and if that's the top then I would sure be concerned about how much clearance ya have front to back at the prop tips.

2" just sounds a bit too close to me.

This is a good discussion point, if we can get a moderator to move it to the Airboat Talk thread instead of here in the Where To Ride thread it might get more and better comments.

I ran a setup with a prop tip clearance of about 1 1/2" for awhile and I was always nervous if anyone came around the prop area while the boat was idling. It is common for people to hook their fingers in the cage while talking and that kind of clearance can result in severe personal injury for those less attentive. That setup met it's fate with a tree limb run in and more clearance might have resulted in a less costly and nerve racking experience.

what clearance do u have with the prop is level? 2 " up top is good.

I have a full deck with a 3 blade sensenich 2 inches at top, 2 inches on the left side 3 in a half on the right side and about 5 inches from prop to deck

I don't see any harm in running it at those clearances but I would be cautious as to who was around the cage when idling and when operating the boat in tight quarters to tree limbs or other objects that might tweak the cage. I think the rule of thumb for most is a hands width of separation between the prop and cage.

That sounds better to me, I used to use a soda can length, never had one make contact.
