I sell a 400HP,450HP and a 500HP 383 (conventional Small Block Chevy) I also sell a 450,550 and 600HP all aluminum LS-1 for less than the cost of a crate motor. Crate motors are good motors but they can’t compare to a motor that is designed and intended for an airboat. An airboat requires a different camshaft profile, combustion chamber quench design, timing curve and many other tolerances need to be changed to truly achieve awesome performance.

wish i knew you 6 months ago. I did the 383 Crate engine and have had some good success with it. It is finished off the way they reccoment. I am running a 2.38 soft drive and it does pretty good. To me it seems like I cruise deep water too high on the rpm chart 36 to 3800, but it gets off the hill pretty good. Someday, I would like to bring it to wherever you are, and see what you can offer for better reliability/performance. I am still figuring out the exhaust muffler situation before I change out from straight flex. Keep the info coming.
