Bishop,

Outstanding effort here. I think this would be a terrific plan to bring to FAA member clubs for expansion next year. Could you please think about that and give us direction if it is possible. More youths involved in long standing traditions can't be beaten.

Is there somewhere where I can get a little more info on this....I hate to say it but this is the first time I have heard about this and it sounds like something I may want to learn some more about for my boys. Thanks bwright!!

Bwright,

Good to see you on board here at S.A. and congratulations.

The camp over there is an awesome place as my son spent a week there, (explorers I think).

Agree with FoMe, any more info would help.

Thanks in advance,

Basketcase

Thank you Basketcase, FoMe, and Dave I whould love to see the FAA in this program and plane to do so.
This program started in Texas they have done it for ten years now and have trune thier lisenes sales around by geting the youth back into the woods. The FWC has only had 3 hunt so fare and whould like to do ten for this year You can go on line at myfwc.com/huntered/YouthHunter/index.htm
It's all Volunteers that make it happen the Landowners graciously open thier land up to the (YHPF)and other volunteers who plan and facilitate the hunts. The plane is to provid a quality hunting experience and learn how to hunt safely, legally, ethically. Ddevelop marksmanship, firearm skills, shoot or no shoot scenaios, game tracking and blood trailing. How to cook wild, set up camp and set around a fire and tell story.
To particpate as youth you must be 12 to 17 years old, complete the Florida Hunter Safety Program and be accompanied by a parent or guardian and send a reundable deposit of 75$ to insure that you will utillz the hunting opporunities
Volunteer make this happen so it is affordable we need land owners, Huntmaster and this is done deal. So get in volved now don't waste time
