Re: Engine turning while towing

Guys my race boat with over 300 PSI cranking pressure will turn a little when pulling long distance. Our supercharged boat would turn a revolution about every mile. If you turn the motor very slowly the compression will bleed off, it's not a big deal!

Re: Looking for NOS install advice

There are 2 main problems with NOS. improper tune up I.E. Jets, timing, and fuel pressure. Then there is the problem of putting more stress than the parts can handle. If you put a small shot with the proper tune up you should be ok. Getting to the proper tune up for your motor can be risky if you do...

We use valve stems! If you don't want the boat to start out the caps on! Nobody will figure out how to start it and they don't go bad! Huh? Please elaborate Too much to understand? Lol. Pull the valves out of two valve stems. Solider wire on the inside of the metal tip of each stem. Drill 2 holes a...

Re: Adjusting a 6 blade wrap drive

Yes you can. I would use it more for fine tuning that last little bit and not have a wide spread between the blades. If you have the correct number of blades on your motor you should be able to run the prop with the optimum pitch in it. That means if the blade performs best pitched at 10 degrees the...

Re: Shutdown proceedure for IO520

Fuel would absolutely make the engine run backwards! The shut down procedure for an airplane isn't always practical for an airboat. For example you are idling up to other boats or a dock and you want to stop close. You can't pull a lean cable and wait for the engine to shut down. Wether it be proper...

I'm very interested! Was actually just looking for someone to make some recently, more for the adjustability than performance. Although they will go on a raceboat so they would be put to the test! Contact me by PM or by phone @352-231-3278. Name is Dwayne.

Yes. Saturday. Racing usually starts around 11 am. Testing usually starts around 9. I'm not sure what the gate price is, I think it was 20.00 last year.

Re: Advice /Info on Electronic Ignition

I have ran both and the pacemaker is far better than the electroair. Darren and Rodney are right in central Florida and ready for tech support, their product is far more adjustable and more user friendly. If you have a problem with the electro air system they have no tech support if someone local ca...

There is virtually no difference in the performance between the Excalibur or a six blade prop when it comes to speed! I have tested them all. I would go with the excaliber for the ride boat. Jmo

Pacemaker is the electronic ignition of my choice! They are great to deal with and you have all the tech help you need close by. If you have a problem with the electro- air system good luck getting tech support from them! Take it from someone with first hand experience!

If this is an add it should be in classified. If you knew what he wanted to sell it for why not just put an asking price on it?

Re: 10 to 1 pistons

1500.00 is way more than you should pay for Pistons. You can have Ross build you a cyst set for around 170.00 each. Bumping up your compression is one of the biggest power gains you can get for an aircraft motor. The next best thing for performance is a properly tuned crisp fuel injection!

Shot if you can build your own boat just find a boat that runs great and take some measurements from it and copy it. That's what a lot of people do. It's that way in drag racing. Half the sportsman dragsters are all almost identical. Kurt Damron set the standard in that industry. Maybe if someone t...
