If you want to find out what your boat is pushing we have the equipment at our shop. Thrust tests start at $100.00 for the first hour and shop time after that. Most tests are done in the first hour. We have forms we fill out for the test and give our customer a copy. If you purchase a prop from us, ...

Re: GO480 SIRIUS BLADES??

From the thrust testing we have done, that engine should perform best with a Whirlwind three blade 78" stump puller or whisper tip 2.0 or the same blade configuration in other brand props you may chose to purchase. For more info. you can call Simpson Quality Designs at 772-563-0435 & ask for Dave.

Re: Pro's and Con's of air-ride

The Suspension rigging is very strong even to a side hit with the boat. The key is in the X bracing, which is covered in the build instructions. When the boat takes a hit from the side, the seat structure pivots down closer to the hull witch makes your center of gravity lower, making it less top hea...

I'll try to answer all of your questions the best I can. One Eyed Gator: The loading on the hull is somewhat different. The weight transferred to the hull is compared to: If you were to take a sledge hammer and drop it on your foot and then set it on your foot. The same weight of the hammer is trans...

Just saw the posts about our suspension systems. Thanks for the comments. The Patented suspension systems we sell have been tested thousands of hours on many different boats and setups. The complete kit weighs 19lbs in the box. Our system will save your back as well as your boat. I would strongly su...

Bagman
How long will a galon of that mix last if you are running hard? At what boost level does it start at?
Will it build more power like they advertise?
If I get one I will put it on my thrust tester and that will tell us for sure.

Re: Ecotec guys

When the boost goes up to 20 lbs the timeing goes down to 4-5 deg. btdc. Is that still a safe range if running on 90 + octaine?

Has any one used the methenol - water injection and does it realy work?

RUSS, IT TAKES A LOT TO IMPRESS ME. I JUST HAVE TO SAY AFTER THRUST TESTING YOUR BOAT AND DRIVING IT YESTERDAY, I WAS TRULY IMPRESSED. WHEN YOU CAN MAKE THAT MUCH POWER IN A SMALL LIGHT WEIGHT ENGINE ALONG WITH THE FUEL ECONOMY, THATS TAKING AIRBOATING TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL. I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO TH...

I wanted to build a low noise airboat and thought the same thing about the shroud. Then I thought again, So Please don't take this the rong way. In my experiance ( about 40 years ) you don't want anything a 1/2" from your prop on an airboat. First bush, or anything hits that cage and the prop won't ...
