Sounds like left front is hitting bottom. Also sounds like you did the right thing . Keep practicing.

You have a oil temp gauge? When you drain the oil remove cooler and clean it out.

If you brazed it you need to let it sit outside for a while. The dew will loosen up the flux from brazing and it will flame off easily. If you don't do this it will flake up under the paint. No matter how much you clean it will still be some.

Re: Side by Side seat stand plan

Moving up in the airboat world. That is good size in my opinion. I have never wanted side by side seating because I like to frog with my boats. But I can see why people prefer to side by side. I don't have any plans but a little encouragement, all your boats have been well planned out with top notch...

Re: Rigging a new Scorpion 12x7'2"

I'm working on mounting the 28 gallon gas tank, Do I need to put anything between the tank and angle supporting it? I'm going to use a hold down clamping the tank down with all-thread, so it shouldn't move or vibrate. I thought about using RTV or a piece of inner-tube on the bottom, but it might ho...

The size boats you are building I would stick to either single seat or inline seating.

I wear my glasses under the helmet, but ave friends with cheater lenses in their helmets. I may try it someday. Doing anything by yourself for the first time is harder than you think, but you get a lot of satisfaction when it's done.

Re: Mount bolts

It's a pain, sometimes you can get lucky and wedge a chisel or screw driver in to hold it. When you put it back together weld a piece of 1/4 inch round bar on the nut at a 90 degree angle. You won't need a wrench after that.

Re: Rigging a new Scorpion 12x7'2"

I don't want to be a know it all, but your putting a lot of pressure on a single piece of pipe under your floor board. Your going to have the weight of four people bouncing up and down on those two pipes.

Do they want to shut them down because of trash and garbage people dump out? I know of ramps that have been closed due to this.

Re: Rigging a new Scorpion 12x7'2"

Personally I think you will be happier when the 0360 is on it than when the 520 is on it. $ people and 520 on that platform just doesn't look like a good idea to me,

Boat Ramps

First I want to thank water management for the boat ramps that we have, they seem to be in most of the places people want to ride. But would it be such a big deal to provide a way to tie up a boat? Maybe put your signs a little closer to the water . Maybe a pipe or 4X4. Wouldn't take much and you wo...

Re: 12-14'/Rotax 582 Performance Questions

In south florida a 12 to 14 foot boat is not a mini. It is a platform for a 0540. A 12 footer funs good with a 0320 and a 0360 will make it sing.
