You need to install a primer system on that motor. Go to aircraft Spruce and look up primer pump

Looks like a tank for the gear oil. Must have a circulating pump also.

Anyone know anything about a B-W gearbox. Like what ratio that it might be and if robust enough to last. It looks like an aircraft conversion to me. The seller has no clue what it is.

Number one reason to me would they don't collect a boat load of debris if you travel high vegetation even with a grass rake. It take a lot of time to remove weeds out from around all the rigging in a conventional hull.

That MSD module is an open circuit board which i think can accumulate moisture on it. The other distributor fired right up (sealed module). I'm going to try to convert the MSD to a closed module like GM had for years. Very reliable

I carry a spare distributor. I'm just going to drop it in. MSD was a freebee 5 yrs ago. Not impressed heck they want $110 for there module. The petronics was like 50 when i set the other one up. thanks for the help. The weather is crap up here in MI I'll be down in FL Jan 15 till May. Wind is blowin...

I would go to continental spec sheet and see what the bore dia is and see what piston spec are and go with that tolerance.
