Re: NEW WATERTHUNDER 440 MOTOR!

Well, if you take a big motor with a 4 blade R and hit it with a 150HP shot of nitrous it will turn 300 more rpms, so yeah it's really nothing. LOL

Re: NEW WATERTHUNDER 440 MOTOR!

We are not fans of posting HP ratings for two major reasons. One, HP is the selling tool used to sell motors in cars for years, so even though it is the first thing everyone wants to know and how they still shop for motors. It doesn't reflect how well a motor will turn the prop for your airboat. Sec...

Re: Best oil for LS3 engine ?

Depends on the build. If you use aftermarket radius cut components and set up loose clearances you could run a thicker oil. Stock motors are square and tight. Aftermarket radius parts should never be that loose either in non-race motors. Always use one weight thinner when going from conventional to ...

Re: CALLING ALL Pro-Mods!!!!

There are some launches of unlimited and pro mod back to back. You can see that unlimited leaves the line a lot harder, so this plan is not going to work very well.

:violent1: h  :salute: AMEN!!!!!! I been waiting for some one too say it!!! It will swing the same prop as a 300hp 540 ? But how much power out of the C/M are we talking 600-700+? Re: Looking For Good Reputable Engine Builder

You're right it was a 550HP SC LSA. Old thread, so I just remembered SC LS of some kind. Our 4 year old 500HP motor still did just fine against 600HP motors, so we are fine with that since it proves that Dyno HP doesn't always = 1 to 1 with thrust numbers.

Re: Looking For Good Reputable Engine Builder

First, to help the man asking the question. Your best bet is going to be a BBC. You will already have so much weight that you won't be gaining much with the lighter motor. You will want the big motor with big torque that keeps the duty cycles down. Don't go to low because that is just more stress on...

Re: Real Time Thrust Tests with Complete Boats

my point in this is efficiency . you can keep putting more hp and tq to a prop and make more thrust , but after a point your just wastin energy, i want a boat that will do what it needs to do no matter the size or if its a/c or carmotor with the most amount of thrust for the least amount of energy,...
