Re: Everglades from Naples

Well you can get into 3a from US41 at the 40 mile bend or you can get into it from I75 I think around the 42 mile marker. Those would be the closest access points from Naples. That's closest for the "Everglades." You can ride out at Lake Trafford in Immokalee or you can put in in some of the canals ...

Re: Veteran's Appreciation Day in the Everglades

No need to apologize cracker! As soon as he pulled in to camp with a hole in his radiator we agreed to tug him back to the landing. Just had to drop my passengers first in case something went wrong. Everything worked out good. I bet she was sore the next day! Prolly still is.

Re: Veteran's Appreciation Day in the Everglades

He turned out just fine. When he cranked up and went past you cracker, he was going out to the open prairie so it would be easier to tie our boats together. After dropping people off at the ramp he jumped on my boat and we putted our way back with his boat tied off to mine. He is an awesome guy. I'l...

Re: Veteran's Appreciation Day in the Everglades

I had a blast out there yesterday! Thank you Jason and Chrissy for putting this deal together and thank you Mr. Gerald for letting us all come to Old Glory. What a great group of people I had the pleasure of meeting and riding with yesterday. Everybody was friendly and helpful and welcoming.

Re: Foot steering

My grandfather put a foot steer on his boats. Just like anything else, take your time and you can figure out how to drive it ok. I always thought it was difficult to foot steer out of a tight turn with a bell crank, but just my opinion. They sure are neat though. Good Luck!

Re: Building a sbc with gear box and have some questions

Don't know how far you've got with your build but I dealt with Terry (ptr34) and would recommend him to anyone. I'm building a similar boat and got a 2.3 ballistic with an 80" r series 2 blade.

Re: Looking to try a 4 or 5 blade warp drive

I have been looking to do the opposite of what you are doing. I have a 70" 5 blade that I would like to trade for a "Q" or "NGH" but ideally I would like to try it out first. If you are interested let me know. By the way, is your "Q" around 70"?

Re: G.P.U. Help in Collier County?

I appreciate the reply Mark! If when I check the rubber boot and cap, there are black spots or arc deposits, what then? I assume that means something is out of place in order to be arcing. Is that correct? Also, do you have any idea how much it might cost to have a mag rebuilt? Thanks again for the ...

G.P.U. Help in Collier County?

Can ya'll point me towards someone in the Naples or Collier area that can doctor on my 220? I think it might be the mag but I'm not sure. One of my cylinders doesn't fire all the time. I have replaced the plugs, changed the fuel, re-gapped the plugs, I checked all the plug wires and none seem to be ...

Re: 220 GPU STARTER HELP

IT IS AN 11 TOOTH STARTER WHEEL WITH A 168 TOOTH FLYWHEEL. I DON'T KNOW IF THAT TELLS YOU MORE. I DISCOVERED THAT THE BRACKET THAT HOLDS THE STARTER ON IS BEGINNING TO CRACK AT ONE OF THE BOLT HOLES. I DON'T KNOW IF THAT IS WHAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM OR IF THAT HAPPENED BECAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. THANK YO...

Re: 220 GPU STARTER HELP

I DO NOT KNOW THE MAKE OF THE STARTER AND FLYWHEEL IN QUESTION, HOWEVER, IT APPEARS TO BE IDENTICAL TO THE SET-UP FOR SALE IN THE CLASSIFIEDS UNDER AIRCRAFT ENGINE PARTS, PAGE 8, ENTITLED G.P.U. STARTER KIT.

I STRIPPED THE STARTER ON MY 220 TODAY AND NEED HELP. I WAS WONDERING IF SOMEONE CAN PUT A NEW GEAR ON THE STARTER OR IF THE WHOLE THING HAS TO BE REBUILT? IF IT CAN'T BE REBUILT, WHERE CAN I GET A NEW ONE? IS THERE A CONVERSION THAT I COULD FIND AT AN AUTO PARTS STORE OR IN A JUNKYARD? ALSO, THE FL...
