Abner in Okeechobee converted mine from mags about a year ago and runs great. Fair price and turnaround.

Re: Advice /Info on Electronic Ignition

call Abner at Elite Airboats if you're around Okeechobee. I'm sure you can find his number on the web or this site. He can set you up right. I have a Lycoming 0360 AV with his setup and its great.

Re: Electronic Ignitions? Opinions....

Abner, Elite Airboats just put electronic ignition on my lycoming 200. Starts and runs great with no complaints. I think throttle response is quicker and may climb RPM's faster. Its worth the money to me. Ready for their injection system now

Re: North Lake Okeechobee Airboat Access

Born and raised in Okeechobee. I've enjoyed the North side of the Lake my whole life. So has my Father, my Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Hopefully my son as well (3 months old!). I use the concrete ramp and dry load as well. I rarely use another ramp other than Okee-Tantie and would be a great ...

big thumbs up to Triple W Airboats in Okeechobee!

I'm a happy customer. I was having boat trouble and not able to run. Thanks to Triple W for getting me back out there (and able to come back safely)! Wayne is a real class act guy.

I just burn gas, i'm no boat builder by any means but I think I've heard beer can from bottom and beer can from transom.

I know my prop goes well below my transom and was built by a reputable builder.

Re: Rotator/Stinger/Precision

I dont have a reason to not run one. i run a used precision 2-1 and I have no complaints. pretty basic sbc about 330hp with 78" 2 blade. if you are looking for a 2-1 ratio i'd go with precision and save your money.

Re: precision gear drive

i have a pretty basic 350 with a precision box. standard starter no trouble. make sure you got a good battery. if you have high compression you may need a gear reduction starter or just try a new starter

turned boat over. now what?

ok so I finally did it. turned my boat over in 6 feet of water, 0360 lycoming. got it up and out. drained carb, drained oil (water in case), pulled bottom plugs (some water in right side bottom plugs), replaced oil with fresh oil, got fresh fuel to carb, turned motor over with plugs out and blew rem...

flashlight\headlight? flywheel? spare prop and hub? comealong? anchor? paddle? whiskey? tango? foxtrot? if I had a larger boat i'd have another motor tucked up in the deck. I do actually carry a squeeze bulb for a spare fuel pump and I may have some extra hose. I've I think I heard it said that if y...
