Re: New boat setup

I have a 15x8 Alumitech set up with a 2.3 belt drive and a 550 hp motor and I'm using a 4 blade 80" R . My boat runs good all around. I had a 3 blade S and it seen liked it had a lil more low end push but both props perform very well .

Re: Prop selection

I would go with the 3 blade 80" sensenich S . I have 5 airboat with motors from 450 hp to 600 hp and 2.31 belt drives . I find the super wide 3 blade has more low end push than the 3 and 4 blade r series.

Re: Help! 502 big black vibration problem

Check your flywheel , most 502's are externally balanced which takes a weighted flywheel, most high performance engine take a un weighted flywheel because they are internally balanced . I had the same issue with a 502, I took the flywheel of a MAS motor and I put it on a 502 and it took me a while t...

Re: Should I change the ratio from 2:1 to 2.3:1

I think if you would take a little pitch out of your prop and let you motor turn up around 5k you would see a big difference on dry land . That motors not developing it's full power turning up 4k.

century belt drive

Has anyone had any problems with a Century 2.53 to 1 or 2.67 to 1 breaking the bolts that hold the flex plate to the bottom gear?

My belt makes noise in the morning but after i run a little while it stops . i would rather have to buy a new belt than tear a motor down

Re: Belt drive noise

If its making a loud slapping sound that means it needs to be titer but dont titen it to much because u will put your rear bearing on your motor in a bind. its best to leave a little play in it than have it to tite
