Re: Need help with my 220gpu

10 degrees sounds right for a healthy gpu at 2800 RPMs. Doubt it’s motor or prop. Will the boat hop on the water and if so at what kinda speed? Where’s the spray coming out and any wear spots on bottom? Weight has to be a bit further back on river masters sometimes or else they plow and wear prematu...

Re: Prop info

What RPM can you get the 66x38 to turn at wide open throttle? If you haven’t checked this yet make that your next step. Just lash it down on the trailer and crank her up. That’ll tell us a lot in addition to Rus’s questions.

Re: 502 power VS torque

Killer vid Russ
Wonder how them ecoturds stack up on a thrust tester vs a conventional LS.
I’m betting you know that already though. :stirpot:
Food for thought, nowhere in the design files for the Falcon or Maximus Series blades are Torque numbers a notable mention in foil selection.

Re: DualSync Waterline Drive, Update & Video

Looks Great!! Only question i have is in running through brush. What are the chances of fouling the transom door? We have a lot of deep water here. That would be my only concern. I would like to see some pictures or video showing the transom at a closer look. Thanks Here is the transom at full down...

Just looked at that thread. Looks like most of the pics disappeared. There’s a few more on the Water Walker Props, Inc. Facebook page. If I can get to my computer this evening I’ll try to upload some. Just let me know if your looking for general pics or anything specific. Thanks.

DualSync Waterline Drive. Only one in existence. $32500 I no longer have a stake in this boat but I can coordinate test rides, provide specs, and make the transaction happen. Re: Honda power

It’s Tim’s boat. Don’t think he’s on here or if he is he doesn’t get on much. That build started years ago with an evo prop and an old 10-12’ish hull. Slapped it together not knowing how well it would work and it was really impressive. It’s grown now to a 14’, high sided new hull with a 2 blade powe...

Wow, free stuff on SA and this thread don’t have 100 comments... :violent1: Cool design. Love the modularity and versatility. The demo with a trolling motor mount is great and I think it could have a ton of other applications on regular boats and airboats. Think I need to grab one of these...

Re: Lycoming GPU Prop Advice

Warps are tough! Don’t mind their extra prop suggestion. It’s just that. Can pick em up used very cheap and I’ve heard of people cutting them to length themselves. ;) I can’t recommend that professionally though. Alternatively you can get a custom shortened 2 blade. No upcharge for shortening it but...

Re: 520 continental

Shouldn't have an issue with dry as long as hull is ok, motor is pitched right, and prop is turning right RPM WOT. If you confident the motor is all good, move to the prop. Set the prop to 2800-2850 WOT on the trailer. Even with that, sounds like a lil engine angle and hull tuning would be worth it....

That Whirl Mode demonstration is a scary but good reminder why not to simply "power through" a vibration on any boat at any RPM. Good Share. :thumbleft: As simple as I can put it: PowerShift had some issues, I'm not going to get into all of that but Water Walker LLC in Montrose Colorado corrected mo...

Do a search on "360s. Surprising forces are exerted"

This is a post written by David Wine a few years ago. You may also want to look through his posts, there are a LOT of white papers and valuable info on everything from props to whole boat configurations.

Re: Transome

All good points. I think you might also want to consider boat length, transom type, and performance your looking for. An underpowered long boat can sometimes run as well as an appropriately powered short boat based on some specific design elements. A clean n clear prop will always push the best.... ...

Re: GO480 SIRIUS BLADES??

What did you do with the hub from the 2 blade power plus? Might try just sticking 2 in their and see how she does. We may be able to get rid of some of the torque roll with falcons but hull style/shape may have something to do with. What kind of boat are you running?

I'd recommend going HTD vs the GT. More "off shelf" options and cheaper. You can still get the HTDs Carbon backed from gates. Check out goodvibesracing.com for new and used pulleys, belts, etc. eBay is a good source for used, new, pre drilled, and blank upper/driven pulleys. Check out the ~70T Harle...
