This block is a rare late model version. I call it a "striations block" as the area around the motor mount is cast in a lined pattern. It is a very unique block believed to come off a mold in 1975 or 1976, just a cool piece if your a Cadillac fan. same as mine what is unique about lifter ...

Re: Cruising speed rpm?
I was without stating it implying that good low cruise numbers are going to be achieved by pitching the prop as much as possible at the desired cruise rpm, in order to do this the engine will need to be at a fairly high torque number at that rpm and if cam selection is decent you can still hit a max...

Jmo, but hull is skinny and short, with heavy overkill aluminum metal work for cage and engine stand, combine that with bad under powerd motor choice, you will be back posting within 3 months after you get it on the waterfront the next step you propose! I'd put the money into those old fords before that airboat and I hate fords!! :stirpot: bro if you want an airboat, in my opinion, that is not even a starter boat, sell it for parts and keep looking! JMO :rebel: I second that, not to be rude but real that is an aircat and a non refundable money pit.
