We brought that up as part of our argument.. I hope it gets struck by lightning and their memories are erased from the glades as well..

Re: Who took down the Memorial in 3A for Jason Goode

I was contacted by the Broward Club about 7 months ago saying that the State was informing that Jasons Memorial and any others were going to be removed and disposed of. I said if they want it removed they can do it themselves. The Broward club contacted the same officials to fight back to keep the m...

Re: Lycoming 180 firing order

On my airplanes I split the wires half top and half bottom as required,.. On my airboats I have the Impulse magneto which should be the right mag when sitting in the operators seat or passenger side if it was a car to fire the Top Plugs and the left mag fires the bottom plugs. On engines with only o...

A good all around sparkplug would be a Champion UD-16 gapped at .020. You will probably get different answers, but we have always used Champion plugs in every engine we have built for over 30 years without a problem.

give us an idea of your Budget and what style of riding you will be doing. Different props work better for open riding through water than running dry ground, An economical choice that would be a good prop for general riding would be something like a Sensenich 3 Blade Saber Series. or for heavy runni...

No problem. Just wanted to make sure you were messing with the correct mag.. Lol. When someone tells me their left or right mag is bad the first thing I do is check the wires to be sure they are hooked up correctly. 30 years ago my dad told me to refer to everything from the operators position.. Re: GSO 480 fuel consumtion and dependability?

I put one on a 12' full deck Thurman and love it. No gear box just to keep it short higher compression pistons and a Pro Form Boost reference .It's dependable as hell, it looks cool as shit, but the way I run it through the Glades it sure does like that fuel. If you are worried about fuel then it's ...

I may have missed something here but at first you said that you threw the starboard (right) switch and it kicked back. Then at the end of all these posts you say you put the impulse mag in the left side. Are you sure about which switch operates which mag. ?? Make sure the switches are in fact left a...

@ John. All of our airplanes run AV-Gas. The Piper Pawnee was available as a 235 or 260 HP model. All of the motors I build are 8.5:1 260 horse 0-540's. I buy a STC that allows me to convert the 235 hp O-540-B2B5 to a 260HP O-540-c-A1D5 by use of the 8.5:1 75089 piston. And everyother airplane we ha...

You can use a Chevrolet block off plate that is available at most auto stores. The drive pin can stay and will not cause any problems. I use the Facet round gold pump that create 3-5 psi . 1-3 gph is not much. With a 12 pack of Budweiser I can probably pee that much. In the airplane at cruise that m...

Don't even think about swimming down to the bottom. That hole is 90-100 feet deep. My dad was telling me that Wayne took a cinder block on a rope and dropped it in the middle and if he remembers correct it measured about 90 feet of rope. So my suggestion is to do the same thing with rope and a weigh...

If your HA-6 blows smoke and runs rich, then what do you think a 6 cylinder 470 carb is gonna do? I can save you the trial and error time with that one.. Just out of curiosity what 10- number is your HA-6?. Ideally you need 4-5 10-3878 or 10- 4064. There is one other 180 carb 10- number that I cant ...

Re: Thurman Build Thread

We built alot of boats 6'8" because that would give you an 8" side height. The metal is 12d'art so that gives you 8' ... A 7' bottom gives you an 8" side . A 6'10" bottom gives a 7" side and a 6'8" bottom gives an 8" side. They just float and look better.
