I have a ruger 1911 in 9mm and it is currently my favorite handgun. Perfectly manageable recoil. Still fits perfectly in the hand. Accurate etc etc. love it.

Re: Jon boat to airboat
You may want to check your regulations of air thrust propulsion access also. I know where I live here in Utah Airboats are not allowed in the same areas Mud boats are. (Inside main impoundments of WMA's) thats so we dont blow some poor little 10-12 foot tin can jon boat out of the water with the pro...

Anyone near Ft Myers going riding friday?
A very good friend of mine is coming into Ft Myers friday 6/12 from Utah and he asked me if I knew anyone that might be willing to take him out for a little ride. He is an experienced airboater and has ridden with me hundreds of times so hes not a newby. He is willing to pay for all gas / beverages ...

I run one on my carbd LS2 waterthunder. I also run a prefilter on it. I don't run any debri or dirt so Im not worried about its filtering capabilities but I do like to think that it breathes easier.

Open invite for Utah duck hunt or Airboat ride
If any of you fine folks happen to find yourselves in the Northern Utah (just north of Salt Lake City) during October, November, December and half way through January consider this an open invite to get in contact with me and I would love to show you why I love airboating and hunting in Utah. If you...

I disagree on the recycled stuff. I know numerous people running it that have had the same or better luck with that than the virgin stuff. I recently replaced my virgin blue iron with black regrind (repro) and I can tell just by handling it that it is more dense and higher quality than the stuff I t...

the widest prop you can find will give you the best low end thrust IMO.

To push on dry ground, I would highly suggest getting a reduction. I think you can find old Kway belt reductions for less than 2K on occasion.

Re: Prop VS Motor: Airgator, LS2 6.0, Sensenich NEED ADVICE
Agreed with all the above posts. Either something is wrong in the cam or possibly something is hurt in the motor. It should spin that sucker a lot harder than what it is. I would get some live data from the motor if you can..

I think I'm going to order the Fitech kit for my LS2 soon. Just debating which kit to order. Do you guys run the "Go EFI" kit or the "Ultimate" kit with a new intake manifold?

Re: 18x8 with 450Hp LS3
I have a 16x8 Utah style hull with a Waterthunder 550hp motor on it and it does surprisingly well. I go pretty much anywhere I want within reason. I don't think youll be running dry with 2-4 guys in a 16x8 with only 450.. but it might work well for what you want to do with it. just depends on your n...

Can you wiggle your prop by hand, see if it has any side to side or wiggle in it? Maybe your prop is out of balance? I would check all the bolts on your prop first. Did you lock tite all the bolts on the flex plate and drive plate?

Re: Water Walker vs sensenich
I read some thrust testing studies years ago that said the Sensenich R blade was the most efficient prop at producing thrust. Plus, I like the design of the blade a little better than other manufactures designs. I would own a whirlwind prop in a heartbeat also just because of their customer service ...

Re: Engine help on a 16X8
I have a 550hp Waterthunder Ls2 on my 16x8 Utah style airboat and it does very well. I run a CH3 2.3 and 3 blade R series. I could run it a little higher rpm than I do, but I keep it around 5K max to keep my cruise rpm down and it does everything I could want.
