Re: Grass Planting Injury

Roy, So sorry to hear about your unfortunate incident. Please let me know if there is anything I can personally do to help. What an awesome story you share about Capt. Kidd and what a bond you have formed. I have known him personally for over 20 years and if he says you're going hunting with him thi...

Re: HELP IMMEDIATELY NEEDED

I must say, I'm a bit dissapointed. There have been over 270 views of this posting and yet, only 17 comments have been posted to the news story along with a couple emails directly to the reporter. Come on folks, pony up here. It truly is MORE than just a kayak incident on the coast!!!! Thanks to all...

Re: HELP IMMEDIATELY NEEDED

Here is my email to the reporter who did the story: Mike, I can NOT believe you bought into Mr. McReynolds claims without getting the other side of the story. You walked into more than a “I almost got shot” deal here. This gentleman and many others are known as Texas Wade Paddle Pole. They seek to h...

HELP IMMEDIATELY NEEDED

A story was just aired on channel 6 news in the Corpus Christi area regarding a kayaker who paddled to close to a duck blind last weekend and he was scared he would be injured. The story was so one sided regarding the area he called "The Lighthouse Kayak trails" This is such bias media for...

I don't believe they allow any public comment in meetings other than the annual meeting in August each year. The only comments that can be made about proposals such as these must be made in writting or on line.......

Re: Coastal Guys

Keep a keen eye on the kayakers in the marsh areas. They don't give you much warning that they are around corners. Its a hot bed down here and they would love to be able to say you scared their fish or almost ran them over on purpose.

I enjoyed meeting each of you, it was a pleasure to have as many various comments as we did. Rick, you hit the nail on the head, all I heard at dinner was....... "Stan said he would let me pull a 80mph 360 in his boat like on Top Gear, why won't you"? LOL!!! My response...."Well Katie...

Re: Where to get Av Fuel

All I run is LL100 in my rat motors. Chech with any of your local county airstrips, they usually allow you to pull the boat right up to the pump and its nomally cheaper than the larger arports.

Re: Another Grass Planting... Any News?

All went well, Steve, myself and our surprise guest airboat had a fun time. Broke the motor in Slayride Friday evening, had to drag out my 18ft "Turbulence" to make the morning call. I'll have to drag out another bullet for the "Slayride". Captain Steve's boat "Daffy's Hears...

Re: Next Grass Planting 26 March, Volunteers Needed

Mitch, I noticed in your post here you run AV gas, are you buying it up where you live or down here when you come down? Just wondering what you are paying up your way? I run the same due to the compression and timing I like to run in both my boats. Fuel just made the $4.50 mark here by my house at t...

I have a 3rd boat lined up for Saturday, so Mitch doesn't need to make the trip. Save the Motel and travel for another time.

Re: Coastal Bays Workshop Final Report Needs to be Rewritten

Absolutely no suprise here. I have always said, including to the commissioners, Larry McKinney is NOT the man the TPW places faith in him being! He is in NO way being un bias in this process and should recuse himself from any of this immediately! This process certainly will cause him some character ...

Re: Statewide Crab Trap Cleanup This Weekend!!!! Don't Forge

One of the terms of listening to all the whining from the TxWPP people, TPWD is expecting a HUGE number of "cryakers" to assist in bringing in trash and old crab traps from our coastal bays. Does anyone have a good number of how many are actually signed up? Please get a good kayak count wh...

I find it highly offensive that the jack asses actually went to the commssioners last August with safety concerns, and then by an over whelming vote, do NOT want to put a safety colored vest or devise on to protect themselves and be more visual. ?????? "uh, I'm afraid for my life because of tho...

Re: Mandatory Dog Insurance for TX Dog Owners

My insurance man was PISSED with my dog Friday. I took my dog Blew to get his insurance policy to get ahead of the curve on this issue, and when "Blew" couldn't hold the pen to sign the policy or spell his proper name, the agent blew a gasket! I just responded, "hey don't look at me, ...
