This deer count is straight bullshit. No way to know if it's accurate. We just have to take their word for it. And where did they pull the number 10 out of? What scientific study told them that 10 deer on the levy means that the deer are stressed? Maybe they just want to shit on dry land!

I would think you could get an "inland marine" policy like what we get for construction equipment. Not expensive at all. Any insurance agent that writes commercial policies should be able.to get it for you.

Re: 3A closed again
How do they know anyone ran within 100 yards of a tree island? They made that crap up. Besides that...when is the last time anyone saw a deer let's say south of the survey trail and away from the L67 and L28??? I know I've never seen one between L28 & L67 from 41 up to 12 miles north except for righ...

Re: 3A closed again
Anybody know what FL Statute they use to support them closing the area? I'd like to read it. My biggest complaint about this BS is that they used to close it except for frogging and gator hunting. Now they close it to airboats and leave the canals open to boating. It is the stupidest thing I've ever...

Anyone know where the water levels are? They extended gator season to 12/1. Wondering how much more water needs to go down before they open back up.

Re: 3A-3B closed ?
The closure to airboats is ridiculous. It doesn't even fit their narrative of protecting the deer!!! If the deer are up on the levees, how does it make sense that they will let boats run the canals but not airboats in the marsh? The old rule during high water was fine! Airboats allowed for frogging ...

Re: 3A-3B closed ?
A lot of good the bridge is doing! And they're gonna build another one. So much for restoring the natural flow. All they care about is stealing our money and locking us out of our land/water.

Re: 3A-3B closed ?
They sell gator tags and then close the area. They used to allow airboats for frogging and gator hunting even during the "high water" closures. Last year was the first time they specifically excluded airboats. This is BULLSH*T! We pay almost $300 for tags and then they pull this crap. If they have s...

Re: Southern glades
If you mean Southern Glades WMA, the answer is maybe... The old spot where guys used to drop their boats on the west side of US1 is not accessible since FDOT did the wall and fencing. There is a ramp on the canal but you would have to find a spot to jump the levee to get in the marsh. There was anot...

Wouldnt be surprised if it was NPS. The last thing they want is anyone restoring that place and bringing interest to the preserve. They are slowly but surely pushing everyone out of BICY.

Re: Gator tags
The whole process is a joke. Why did they add the credit card for the 3 phase but not the others? They need to do that from phase 1 thru the end. You'll see how many fewer applicants there are. I'm tired of not getting permits and then running into guys saying that their buddy put in their name and ...

Re: FL Alligator Harvest updates
A step in the right direction, but not enough to fix the process. IMO they should require the credit card in phase 1 or anyone awarded a permit who does claim it should not be allowed to apply for the rest of that season AND the following. They should also start issuing preference points. No reason ...
